Mission Statement
To assist members with and promote the physical, emotional and spiritual health of our members through education and community resources, while recognizing God’s healing power in our daily lives.

Our Ministry team believes that they are empowered by God to encourage our members to take active roles in managing their health and modifying their behaviors to live longer.

We provide resources and  information on health to include; fairs and other programs that will heighten awareness and increase knowledge about what it takes to keep God’s temple.

Sister Katrena Waters, RNC, BSN (Ministry Lead)

Ministry Purpose

  • To be a church nurse, one must first of all be a Christian and have the ability to display God's love.

  • A church nurse uses the gift given by God, to glorify God.

  • Church nursing is a calling and a mission.  A Christian must follow Christ.

  • The church nurse serves the church and its programs.

  • The Nurses' Ministry is on duty each Sunday to provide first-aid to anyone who becomes ill during church services and serve those who are in need of care because of illness of the mind and/or body.

  • Individually, one must be dedicated, well-acquainted in nursing services, first-aid, and have compassion for humanity.

  • The nurse must be a good listener, attentive and a confidant.
